Assay Chamber: Russia’s gold exports rise 67% to 16 tns in Jan–Jun
MOSCOW, Aug 9 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gold exports grew 67% to 15.78 tonnes in January–June, the Assay Chamber at the Finance Ministry, which is responsible for state control over exports and imports of precious metals and stones, said in a report on Friday.
Refined silver exports fell 56.6% to 212.1 tonnes, platinum 2.2% to 11.56 tonnes, palladium grew 7% to 45.612 tonnes.
Exports of gold jewelry, watches and coins rose 20.1% to 214.722 kilograms, of silver jewelry rose 32.9% to 724.8 kilograms, of platinum one fell 64.4% to 288 grams.
No imports of refined precious metals were registered in the reported period. Imports of golden jewelry, watches and coins rose 5.8% to 1.214 tonnes. Imports of silver jewelry fell 22.2% to 21.119 tonnes, platinum one 12.9% to 22.971 kilograms.
